I teamed up with talented developers and helped design a sophisticated algorithm that allowed users to automatically generate stylized video edits of their media. The edits of the video were in precise sync to the beat and cadence of any snippet of music. The application produced emotive videos that were enhanced with dynamic transitions, filters and effects. I led the creation of the themes, cinematic transitional sequences, video filters, and also composed a library of default musical themes for the core of the application (Composer - Luc Burson was also intimately involved in the project). HTC Video Highlights won an IDSA digital design award in 2014 for being a “breakthrough in mobile user experience”. The then Andriod-only experience was eventually offered on iTunes marketplace and was closely emulated in Apple’s default photo app in 2016. HTC Video Highlights won an IDSA Digital Design Award in 2014 for user experience.
